Apocalypsis Joannis

Et signum magnum apparuit in cælo: mulier amicta sole, et luna sub pedibus ejus, et in capite ejus corona stellarum duodecim:

And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Et signo magna appare in caelo: muliere amicie sole, et luna sub pedes de illo, et in capite de illo corona de stellas duodecime:

et in utero habens, clamabat parturiens, et cruciabatur ut pariat.

And being with child, she cried travailing in birth: and was in pain to be delivered.

Et in utero habente, clama parturie, et crucia ut pare.

Et visum est aliud signum in cælo: et ecce draco magnus rufus habens capita septem, et cornua decem: et in capitibus ejus diademata septem,

And there was seen another sign in heaven. And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and on his heads seven diadems.

Et viso es alio signo in caelo: et ecce dracone magna rufa habente capites septeme, et cornus deceme: et in capites de illo diademates septeme,

et cauda ejus trahebat tertiam partem stellarum cæli, et misit eas in terram: et draco stetit ante mulierem, quæ erat paritura, ut cum peperisset, filium ejus devoraret.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered: that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son.

Et cauda de illo trahe tertio parte de stellas de caelo, et mitte illas in terra: et dracone sta ante muliere, que es pare, ut cum pare, filio de illo devora.

Et peperit filium masculum, qui recturus erat omnes gentes in virga ferrea: et raptus est filius ejus ad Deum, et ad thronum ejus,

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And her son was taken up to God and to his throne.

Et pare filio masculo, qui rege es omni gentes in virga ferrea: et rape es filio de illo ad Deo, et ad throno de illo,

et mulier fugit in solitudinem ubi habebat locum paratum a Deo, ut ibi pascant eam diebus mille ducentis sexaginta.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her, a thousand two hundred sixty days.

Et muliere fuge in solitudine ubi habe loco para ab Deo, ut ibi pasce illa dies mile ducenti sexaginta.

Et factum est prælium magnum in cælo: Michaël et angeli ejus præliabantur cum dracone, et draco pugnabat, et angeli ejus:

And there was a great battle in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought, and his angels.

Et facto es praelio magna in caelo: michaële et angelos de illo praelia cum dracone, et dracone pugna, et angelos de illo:

et non valuerunt, neque locus inventus est eorum amplius in cælo.

And they prevailed not: neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Et non vale, neque loco inveni es de illos ample in caelo.

Et projectus est draco ille magnus, serpens antiquus, qui vocatur diabolus, et Satanas, qui seducit universum orbem: et projectus est in terram, et angeli ejus cum illo missi sunt.

And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world. And he was cast unto the earth: and his angels were thrown down with him.

Et proicie es dracone illo magna, serpente antiquo, qui voca diabolo, et Satana, qui seduce universa orbe: et proicie es in terra, et angelos de illo cum illo mitte es.

Et audivi vocem magnam in cælo dicentem: Nunc facta est salus, et virtus, et regnum Dei nostri, et potestas Christi ejus: quia projectus est accusator fratrum nostrorum, qui accusabat illos ante conspectum Dei nostri die ac nocte.

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying: Now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ: because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night.

Et audi voce magna in caelo dic: nunc facto es salute, et virtute, et regno de Deo nostro, et potestate de Christo de illo: quia proicie es accusatore de fratres nostro, qui accusa illos ante conspectu de Deo nostro die et nocte.

Et ipsi vicerunt eum propter sanguinem Agni, et propter verbum testimonii sui, et non dilexerunt animas suas usque ad mortem.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of the testimony: and they loved not their lives unto death.

Et ipso vince illo propter sanguine de Agno, et propter verbo de testimonio suo, et non dilige animas suo usque ad morte.

Propterea lætamini cæli, et qui habitatis in eis. Væ terræ, et mari, quia descendit diabolus ad vos habens iram magnam, sciens quod modicum tempus habet.

Therefore, rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.

Propter hoc laetor de caelo, et qui habita in illos. Vae de terra, et ad mari, quia diabolo descende ad vos habente ira magna, sciente quod modico tempore habe.

Et postquam vidit draco quod projectus esset in terram, persecutus est mulierem, quæ peperit masculum:

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the man child.

Et postquam dracone vide quod proicie es in terra, perseque es muliere, que pare masculo:

et datæ sunt mulieri alæ duæ aquilæ magnæ ut volaret in desertum in locum suum, ubi alitur per tempus et tempora, et dimidium temporis a facie serpentis.

And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Et da es ad muliere alas duo aquila magna ut vol in deserto in loco suo, ubi ale per tempore et tempores, et dimidio de tempore ab facie de serpente.

Et misit serpens ex ore suo post mulierem, aquam tamquam flumen, ut eam faceret trahi a flumine.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water, as it were a river: that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.

Et serpente mitte ex ore suo post muliere, aqua sicut flumine, ut illa fac trahe ab flumine.

Et adjuvit terra mulierem, et aperuit terra os suum, et absorbuit flumen, quod misit draco de ore suo.

And the earth helped the woman: and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Et terra adiuva muliere, et terra aperi ore suo, et absorbe flumine, dracone mitte quod de ore suo.

Et iratus est draco in mulierem: et abiit facere prælium cum reliquis de semine ejus, qui custodiunt mandata Dei, et habent testimonium Jesu Christi.

And the dragon was angry against the woman: and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Et irascor es dracone in muliere: et i ab facere praelio cum reliqua de semine de illo, qui custodi mandatos de Deo, et habe testimonio de Iesu de Christo.

Et stetit supra arenam maris.

And he stood upon the sand of the sea.

Et sta supra (h)arena de mari.
