Ephesians

1

Paulus Apostolus Jesu Christi per voluntatem Dei, omnibus sanctis qui sunt Ephesi, et fidelibus in Christo Jesu.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.

Paulo Apostolo de Iesu de Christo per voluntate de Deo, ad omni ad sancto qui es de Epheso, et ad fideli in Christo Iesu.

Gratia vobis, et pax a Deo Patre nostro, et Domino Jesu Christo.

Grace be to you and peace, from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Gratia ad vos, et pace ab Deo Patre nostro, et Domino Iesu Christo.

Benedictus Deus et Pater Domini nostri Jesu Christi, qui benedixit nos in omni benedictione spirituali in cælestibus in Christo,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places, in Christ:

Benedicto Deo et Patre de Domino nostro de Iesu de Christo, qui benedic nos in omni benedictione spirituali in caelesti in Christo,

sicut elegit nos in ipso ante mundi constitutionem, ut essemus sancti et immaculati in conspectu ejus in caritate.

As he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and unspotted in his sight in charity.

Sicut elige nos in ipso ante mundo constitutione, ut es sancto et immacula in conspectu de illo in caritate.

Qui prædestinavit nos in adoptionem filiorum per Jesum Christum in ipsum: secundum propositum voluntatis suæ,

Who hath predestinated us unto the adoption of children through Jesus Christ unto himself: according to the purpose of his will:

Qui praedestina nos in adoptione de filios per Iesu Christo in ipso: secundo proposito de voluntate suo,

in laudem gloriæ gratiæ suæ, in qua gratificavit nos in dilecto Filio suo.

Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us, in his beloved son.

In laude de gloria de gratia suo, in quo gratificor nos in dilige Filio suo.

In quo habemus redemptionem per sanguinem ejus, remissionem peccatorum secundum divitias gratiæ ejus,

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins, according to the riches of his, grace,

In quo habe redemptione per sanguine de illo, remissione de peccatos secundo divitias de gratia de illo,

quæ superabundavit in nobis in omni sapientia et prudentia:

Which hath superabounded in us, in all wisdom and prudence,

Que superabunda in nos in omni sapientia et prudentia:

ut notum faceret nobis sacramentum voluntatis suæ, secundum beneplacitum ejus, quod proposuit in eo,

That he might make known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in him,

Ut noto fac ad nos sacramento de voluntate suo, secundo beneplace de illo, quod propone in eo,

in dispensatione plenitudinis temporum, instaurare omnia in Christo, quæ in cælis et quæ in terra sunt, in ipso;

In the dispensation of the fulness of times, to re-establish all things in Christ, that are in heaven and on earth, in him.

In dispensatione de plenitudine de tempores, instaura omni in Christo, que in caelos et que in terra es, in ipso;

in quo etiam et nos sorte vocati sumus prædestinati secundum propositum ejus qui operatur omnia secundum consilium voluntatis suæ:

In whom we also are called by lot, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things according to the counsel of his will.

In quo etiam et nos sorte voca es praedestina secundo proposito de illo qui operor omni secundo consilio de voluntate suo:

ut simus in laudem gloriæ ejus nos, qui ante speravimus in Christo;

That we may be unto the praise of his glory: we who before hoped in Christ:

Ut es in laude de gloria de illo nos, qui ante spera in Christo;

in quo et vos, cum audissetis verbum veritatis, Evangelium salutis vestræ, in quo et credentes signati estis Spiritu promissionis Sancto,

In whom you also, after you had heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation), in whom also believing, you were signed with the holy Spirit of promise.

In quo et vos, cum audi verbo de veritate, Evangelio de salute vestro, in quo et crede signa es Spiritu de promissione Sancto,

qui est pignus hæreditatis nostræ, in redemptionem acquisitionis, in laudem gloriæ ipsius.

Who is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of acquisition, unto the praise of his glory.

Qui es pignore de haereditate nostro, in redemptione de acquisitione, in laude de gloria de ipso.

Propterea et ego audiens fidem vestram, quæ est in Domino Jesu, et dilectionem in omnes sanctos,

Wherefore, I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus and of your love towards all the saints,

Propter hoc et me audiente fide vestro, que es in Domino Iesu, et dilectione in omni sancto,

non cesso gratias agens pro vobis, memoriam vestri faciens in orationibus meis:

Cease not to give thanks for you, making commemoration of you in my prayers,

Non cessa gratias age pro vos, memoria vestro faciente in orationes meo:

ut Deus, Domini nostri Jesu Christi Pater gloriæ, det vobis spiritum sapientiæ et revelationis in agnitione ejus,

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation, in the knowledge of him:

Ut Deo, de Domino nostro de Iesu de Christo Patre de gloria, que da ad vos spiritu de sapientia et de revelatione in agnitione de illo,

illuminatos oculos cordis vestri, ut sciatis quæ sit spes vocationis ejus, et quæ divitiæ gloriæ hæreditatis ejus in sanctis,

The eyes of your heart enlightened that you may know what the hope is of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

Illumina oculos de corde vestro, ut sci que es spe de vocatione de illo, et que divitias de gloria de haereditate de illo in sancto,

et quæ sit supereminens magnitudo virtutis ejus in nos, qui credimus secundum operationem potentiæ virtutis ejus,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us, who believe according to the operation of the might of his power,

Et que es superemine magnitudine de virtute de illo in nos, qui crede secundo operatione de potentia de virtute de illo,

quam operatus est in Christo, suscitans illum a mortuis, et constituens ad dexteram suam in cælestibus:

Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.

Quam operor es in Christo, suscita illo ab mortuo, et constitue ad dextera suo in caelesti:

supra omnem principatum, et potestatem, et virtutem, et dominationem, et omne nomen, quod nominatur non solum in hoc sæculo, sed etiam in futuro.

Above all principality and power and virtue and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

Supra omni principatu, et potestate, et virtute, et dominatione, et omni nomine, quod nomina non solo in hoc saeculo, sed etiam in futuro.

Et omnia subjecit sub pedibus ejus: et ipsum dedit caput supra omnem ecclesiam,

And he hath subjected all things under his feet and hath made him head over all the church,

Et omni subicie sub pedes de illo: et ipso da capite supra omni ecclesia,

quæ est corpus ipsius, et plenitudo ejus, qui omnia in omnibus adimpletur.

Which is his body and the fulness of him who is filled all in all.

Que es corpore de ipso, et plenitudine de illo, qui adimple in omni omni.
