Prophetia Ezechielis

Et vidi: et ecce in firmamento quod erat super caput cherubim, quasi lapis sapphirus, quasi species similitudinis solii, apparuit super ea.

And I saw and behold in the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubims, there appeared over them as it were the sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Et vide: et ecce in firmamento quod es super capite de cherube, quasi lapide sapphiro, quasi specie de similitudine de solio, appare super illa.

Et dixit ad virum qui indutus erat lineis, et ait: Ingredere in medio rotarum quæ sunt subtus cherubim, et imple manum tuam prunis ignis quæ sunt inter cherubim, et effunde super civitatem. Ingressusque est in conspectu meo.

And he spoke to the man, that was clothed with linen, and said: Go in between the wheels that are under the cherubims and fill thy hand with the coals of fire that are between the cherubims, and pour them out upon the city. And he went in, in my sight:

Et dic ad viro qui indusa es lineas, et dic: ingredior in medio de rotas que es subtus cherubes, et imple manu tuo prunas de igni que es inter cherubes, et effunde super civitate. Et ingredior es in conspectu meo.

Cherubim autem stabant a dextris domus cum ingrederetur vir, et nubes implevit atrium interius.

And the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court.

Cherube autem sta ab dextro domo cum viro ingredior, et nube imple atrio interiori.

Et elevata est gloria Domini desuper cherub ad limen domus: et repleta est domus nube, et atrium repletum est splendore gloriæ Domini.

And the glory of the Lord was lifted up from above the cherub to the threshold of the house: and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord.

Et eliva es gloria de Domino desuper cherube ad limine de domo: et reple es domo nube, et atrio reple es splendore de gloria de Domino.

Et sonitus alarum cherubim audiebatur usque ad atrium exterius, quasi vox Dei omnipotentis loquentis.

And the sound of the wings of the cherubims was heard even to the outward court as the voice of God Almighty speaking.

Et sonitu de alas de cherubes audi usque ad atrio exterius, quasi voce de Deo omnipotente loque.

Cumque præcepisset viro qui indutus erat lineis, dicens: Sume ignem de medio rotarum quæ sunt inter cherubim: ingressus ille stetit juxta rotam.

And when he had commanded the man that was clothed with linen, saying: Take fire from the midst of the wheels that are between the cherubims: he went in and stood beside the wheel.

Cumque praecipie ad viro qui indusa es lineas, dicente: sume igni de medio de rotas que es inter cherubes: ingredior illo sta juxta rota.

Et extendit cherub manum de medio cherubim ad ignem qui erat inter cherubim, et sumpsit, et dedit in manus ejus qui indutus erat lineis: qui accipiens egressus est.

And one cherub stretched out his arm from the midst of the cherubims to the fire that was between the cherubims: and he took, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it and went forth.

Et cherube extende manu de medio de cherubes ad igni qui es inter cherubes, et sume, et da in manus de illo qui indusa es lineas: qui accipe egredior es.

Et apparuit in cherubim similitudo manus hominis subtus pennas eorum.

And there appeared in the cherubims the likeness of a man's hand under their wings.

Et similitudine in cherubes manu de homine appare subtus pennas de illos.

Et vidi: et ecce quatuor rotæ juxta cherubim: rota una juxta cherub unum, et rota alia juxta cherub unum: species autem rotarum erat quasi visio lapidis chrysolithi:

And I saw, and behold there were four wheels by the cherubims: one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was to the sight like the chrysolite stone:

Et vide: et ecce quatuore rotas juxta cherubes: rota uno juxta cherube uno, et rota alio juxta cherube uno: specie autem de rotas es quasi visione de lapide de chrysolithore:

et aspectus earum similitudo una quatuor, quasi sit rota in medio rotæ.

And as to their appearance, all four were alike: as if a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.

Et aspectu de illas similitudine uno quatuore, quasi es rota in medio de rota.

Cumque ambularent, in quatuor partes gradiebantur, et non revertebantur ambulantes: sed ad locum ad quem ire declinabat quæ prima erat, sequebantur et ceteræ, nec convertebantur.

And when they went, they went by four ways: and they turned not when they went: but to the place whither they first turned, the rest also followed, and did not turn back.

Cumque ambula, in quatuore partes grade, et non reverte ambula: sed ad loco ad quem i declina que primo es, seque et cetero, nec converte.

Et omne corpus earum, et colla, et manus, et pennæ, et circuli, plena erant oculis in circuitu quatuor rotarum.

And their whole body, and their necks, and their hands, and their wings, and the circles were full of eyes, round about the four wheels.

Et omni corpore de illas, et collas, et manus, et pennas, et circulo, plena es oculos in circuitu quatuore de rotas.

Et rotas istas vocavit volubiles, audiente me.

And these wheels he called voluble, in my hearing.

Et volubile voca rotas isto, audi me.

Quatuor autem facies habebat unum: facies una, facies cherub, et facies secunda, facies hominis: et in tertio facies leonis, et in quarto facies aquilæ.

And every one had four faces: one face was the face of a cherub, and the second face, the face of a man: and in the third was the face of a lion: and in the fourth the face of an eagle.

Quatuore autem facie habe uno: facie uno, facie cherube, et facie secundo, facie de homine: et in tertio facie de leone, et in quarto facie de aquila.

Et elevata sunt cherubim: ipsum est animal quod videram juxta fluvium Chobar.

And the cherubims were lifted up: this is the living creature that I had seen by the river Chobar.

Et eliva es cherubes: ipso es animale quod vide juxta fluvio Chobare.

Cumque ambularent cherubim, ibant pariter et rotæ juxta ea: et cum elevarent cherubim alas suas ut exaltarentur de terra, non residebant rotæ, sed et ipsæ juxta erant.

And when the cherubims went, the wheels also went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings, to mount up from the earth, the wheels stayed not behind, but were by them.

Cumque cherubes ambula, i pariter et rotas juxta illa: et cum cherubes eleva alas suo ut exalta de terra, non rotas reside, sed et ipso juxta es.

Stantibus illis stabant, et cum elevatis elevabantur: spiritus enim vitæ erat in eis.

When they stood, these stood: and when they were lifted up, these were lifted up: for the spirit of life was in them.

Stantes ad illos sta, et cum eleva eleva: spiritu nam de vita es in illos.

Et egressa est gloria Domini a limine templi, et stetit super cherubim.

And the glory of the Lord went forth from the threshold of the temple: and stood over the cherubims.

Et egredior es gloria de Domino ab limine de templo, et sta super cherubes.

Et elevantia cherubim alas suas, exaltata sunt a terra coram me: et illis egredientibus, rotæ quoque subsecutæ sunt: et stetit in introitu portæ domus Domini orientalis, et gloria Dei Israël erat super ea.

And the cherubims lifting up their wings, were raised from the earth before me: and as they went out, the wheels also followed: and it stood in the entry of the east gate of the house of the Lord: and the glory of the God of Israel was over them.

Et eleva cherubes alas suo, exalta es ab terra coram me: et ad illos egredior, rotas etiam subsequor es: et sta in introitu de porta de domo de Domino orientali, et gloria de Deo Israële es super illa.

Ipsum est animal quod vidi subter Deum Israël juxta fluvium Chobar, et intellexi quia cherubim essent.

This is the living creature, which I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chobar: and I understood that they were cherubims.

Ipso es animale quod vide subter Deo Israële juxta fluvio Chobare, et intellege quia cherubes es.

Quatuor vultus uni, et quatuor alæ uni: et similitudo manus hominis sub alis eorum.

Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings: and the likeness of a man's hand was under their wings.

Quatuore vultus uno, et quatuore alas ad uno: et similitudine manu de homine sub ales de illos.

Et similitudo vultuum eorum, ipsi vultus quos videram juxta fluvium Chobar, et intuitus eorum, et impetus singulorum ante faciem suam ingredi.

And as to the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces which I had seen by the river Chobar, and their looks, and the impulse of every one to go straight forward.

Et similitudine de vultus de illos, ipso vultus que vide juxta fluvio Chobare, et intueor de illos, et impetus singulo ante facie suo ingredior.
