Hæ sunt generationes Aaron et Moysi in die qua locutus est Dominus ad Moysen in monte Sinai.

These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai.

Hoc es generationes Aarone et de Moysi in die quo locuto es Domino ad Moyse in monte Sinao.

Et hæc nomina filiorum Aaron: primogenitus ejus Nadab, deinde Abiu, et Eleazar, et Ithamar.

And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

Et hoc nomines de filios Aarone: primogenito de illo Nadabe, deinde Abiu, et Eleazare, et Ithamare.

Hæc nomina filiorum Aaron sacerdotum qui uncti sunt, et quorum repletæ et consecratæ manus ut sacerdotio fungerentur.

These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood.

Hoc nomines de filios Aarone de sacerdotes qui ungga es, et de que reple et consecra manus ut sacerdotio fungor.

Mortui sunt enim Nadab et Abiu cum offerrent ignem alienum in conspectu Domini in deserto Sinai, absque liberis: functique sunt sacerdotio Eleazar et Ithamar coram Aaron patre suo.

Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father.

More es nam Nadabe et Abiu cum offer igni aliena in conspectu de Domino in deserto Sinao, absque liberis: et fungor es sacerdotio Eleazare et Ithamare coram Aarone patre suo.

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

Et locuto es Domino ad Moyse, dicente:

Applica tribum Levi, et fac stare in conspectu Aaron sacerdotis ut ministrent ei, et excubent,

Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch,

Applica tribu de Levi, et fac sta in conspectu Aarone de sacerdote ut ministra ad illo, et excuba,

et observent quidquid ad cultum pertinet multitudinis coram tabernaculo testimonii,

And observe whatsoever appertaineth to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony,

Et omni ad cultu pertine de multitudine observa coram tabernaculo de testimonio,

et custodiant vasa tabernaculi, servientes in ministerio ejus.

And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.

Et custodi vases de tabernaculo, servi in ministerio de illo.

Dabisque dono Levitas

And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,

Et da ad dono Levites

Aaron et filiis ejus, quibus traditi sunt a filiis Israël. Aaron autem et filios ejus constitues super cultum sacerdotii. Externus, qui ad ministrandum accesserit, morietur.

To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister, shall be put to death.

Aarone et ad filios de illo, ad que trade es ab filios Israële. Aarone autem et filios de illo constitue super cultu de sacerdotio. Externo, qui ad ministra accede, more.

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

Et locuto es Domino ad Moyse, dicente:

Ego tuli Levitas a filiis Israël pro omni primogenito, qui aperit vulvam in filiis Israël, eruntque Levitæ mei.

I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.

Me fer Levites ab filios Israële pro omni primogenito, qui aperi vulva in filios Israële, et es Levitas meo.

Meum est enim omne primogenitum: ex quo percussi primogenitos in terra Ægypti, sanctificavi mihi quidquid primum nascitur in Israël: ab homine usque ad pecus, mei sunt. Ego Dominus.

For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord.

Meo es nam omni primogenito: ex quo percute primogenito in terra de Aegypto, sanctifica ad me omni primo nasce in Israële: ab homine usque ad pecore, meo es. Me Domino.

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen in deserto Sinai, dicens:

And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying:

Et locuto es Domino ad Moyse in deserto Sinao, dicente:

Numera filios Levi per domos patrum suorum et familias, omnem masculum ab uno mense et supra.

Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward.

Fuma filios de Levi per domos de patres suo et de familia, omni masculo ab uno mense et supra.

Numeravit Moyses, ut præceperat Dominus,

Moses numbered them as the Lord had commanded.

Moyse numera, ut Domino praecipie,

et inventi sunt filii Levi per nomina sua, Gerson et Caath et Merari.

And there were found sons of Levi by their names, Gerson and Caath Merari.

Et inveni es filios Levi per nomines suo, Gersone et Caath et Meraro.

Filii Gerson: Lebni et Semei.

The sons of Gerson: Lebni and Semei.

Filios Gersones: lebno et Semei.

Filii Caath: Amram et Jesaar, Hebron et Oziel.

The sons of Caath: Amram, and Jesaar, Hebron and Oziel:

Filios Caath: amra et Iesaare, Hebrone et Oziele.

Filii Merari: Moholi et Musi.

The sons of Merari, Moholi and Musi.

Filios Meraro: moholo et Mure.

De Gerson fuere familiæ duæ, Lebnitica, et Semeitica:

Of Gerson were two families, the Lebnites, and the Semeites:

De Gersones es familias duo, Lebnitico, et Semeitico:

quarum numeratus est populus sexus masculini ab uno mense et supra, septem millia quingenti.

Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred.

De qui numera es populo de sexu masculino ab uno mense et supra, septeme mile quingenti.

Hi post tabernaculum metabuntur ad occidentem,

These shall pitch behind the tabernacle on the west,

Illo post tabernaculo mete ad occidente,

sub principe Eliasaph filio Laël.

Under their prince Eliasaph the son of Lael.

Et habebunt excubias in tabernaculo fœderis,

And their charge shall be in the tabernacle of the covenant:

Et habe excubias in tabernaculo de foedro,

ipsum tabernaculum et operimentum ejus, tentorium quod trahitur ante fores tecti fœderis, et cortinas atrii: tentorium quoque quod appenditur in introitu atrii tabernaculi, et quidquid ad ritum altaris pertinet, funes tabernaculi et omnia utensilia ejus.

The tabernacle itself and the cover thereof, the hanging that is drawn before the doors of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the curtains of the court: the hanging also that is hanged in the entry of the court of the tabernacle, and whatsoever belongeth to the rite of the altar, the cords of the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof.

Ipso tabernaculo et operimento de illo, tentorio quod trahe ante foris de tecto de foedro, et cortenas de atrio: tentorio etiam quod appende in introitu de atrio de tabernaculo, et omni ad ritu de altari pertine, funes de tabernaculo et omni utensilia de illo.

Cognatio Caath habebit populos Amramitas et Jesaaritas et Hebronitas et Ozielitas. Hæ sunt familiæ Caathitarum recensitæ per nomina sua.

Of the kindred of Caath come the families of the Amramites and Jesaarites and Hebronites and Ozielites. These are the families of the Caathites reckoned up by their names:

Cognatione Caath i habe populos Amramitates et Iesaaritates et Hebronitates et Ozielitates. Hoc es familias de Caathitas recenda per nomines suo.

Omnes generis masculini ab uno mense et supra, octo millia sexcenti habebunt excubias sanctuarii,

All of the male sex from one month and upward, eight thousand six hundred: they shall have the guard of the sanctuary,

Omni de genere de masculino ab uno mense et supra, octo mile sexcenti habe excubias de sanctuario,

et castrametabuntur ad meridianam plagam.

And shall camp on the south side.

Et castrometa ad meridiano plaga.

Princepsque eorum erit Elisaphan filius Oziel:

And their prince shall be Elisaphan the son of Oziel:

Et principe de illos es Elisaphane filio Oziele:

et custodient arcam, mensamque et candelabrum, altaria et vasa sanctuarii, in quibus ministratur, et velum, cunctamque hujuscemodi supellectilem.

And they shall keep the ark, and the table and the candlestick, the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary, wherewith they minister, and the veil, and all the furniture of this kind.

Et custodi arca, et mensa et candelabro, altarios et vases de sanctuario, in que ministra, et velo, et cunga huiuscemodudi supellectili.

Princeps autem principum Levitarum Eleazar filius Aaron sacerdotis, erit super excubitores custodiæ sanctuarii.

And the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, shall be over them that watch for the guard of the sanctuary.

At vero de Merari erunt populi Moholitæ et Musitæ recensiti per nomina sua:

And of Merari are the families of the Moholites, and Musites, reckoned up by their names:

Sed vero de Meraro es populos Moholitas et Muta recenda per nomines suo:

omnes generis masculini ab uno mense et supra, sex millia ducenti.

All of the male kind from one month and upward, six thousand two hundred.

Omni de genere de masculino ab uno mense et supra, sexu mile ducenti.

Princeps eorum Suriel filius Abihaiel: in plaga septentrionali castrametabuntur.

Their prince Suriel the son of Abihaiel: their shall camp on the north side.

Principe de illos Suriele filio de Abihaiele: in plaga septentrionali castrometa.

Erunt sub custodia eorum tabulæ tabernaculi et vectes, et columnæ ac bases earum, et omnia quæ ad cultum hujuscemodi pertinent:

Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service:

Es sub custodia de illos tabulas de tabernaculo et vectes, et columnas et basees de illas, et omni que ad cultu huiuscemodudi pertine:

columnæque atrii per circuitum cum basibus suis, et paxilli cum funibus.

And the pillars of the court round about with their sockets, and the pins with their cords.

Et columnas de atrio per circuitu cum basees suo, et de paxillos cum funes.

Castrametabuntur ante tabernaculum fœderis, id est, ad orientalem plagam, Moyses et Aaron cum filiis suis, habentes custodiam sanctuarii in medio filiorum Israël. Quisquis alienus accesserit, morietur.

Before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is to say on the east side shall Moses and Aaron camp, with their sons, having the custody of the sanctuary, in the midst of the children of Israel. What stranger soever cometh unto it, shall be put to death.

Castrameta ante tabernaculo de foedro, id es, ad orientali plaga, Moyse et Aarone cum filios suo, habe custodia de sanctuario in medio de filios Israële. Omni aliena accede, more.

Omnes Levitæ, quos numeraverunt Moyses et Aaron juxta præceptum Domini per familias suas in genere masculino a mense uno et supra, fuerunt viginti duo millia.

All the Levites, that I Moses and Aaron numbered according to the precept of the Lord, by their f families, of the male kind from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand.

Omni Levitas, Moyse et Aarone numera que juxta praecepto de Domino per familia suo in genere masculino ab mense uno et supra, es viginti duo mile.

Et ait Dominus ad Moysen: Numera primogenitos sexus masculini de filiis Israël ab uno mense et supra, et habebis summam eorum.

And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and thou shalt take the sum of them.

Et Domino dic ad Moyse: numera primogenito de sexu masculino de filios Israële ab uno mense et supra, et habe summa de illos.

Tollesque Levitas mihi pro omni primogenito filiorum Israël: ego sum Dominus: et pecora eorum pro universis primogenitis pecorum filiorum Israël.

And thou shalt take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel:

Et tolle Levites ad me pro omni primogenito de filios Israële: me es Domino: et pecores de illos pro universa primogenitates de pecores de filios Israële.

Recensuit Moyses, sicut præceperat Dominus, primogenitos filiorum Israël:

Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel:

Moyse recense, sicut Domino praecipie, primogenito de filios Israële:

et fuerunt masculi per nomina sua, a mense uno et supra, viginti duo millia ducenti septuaginta tres.

And the males by their names, from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.

Et es masculo per nomines suo, ab mense uno et supra, viginti duo mile ducenti septuaginta tre.

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

Et locuto es Domino ad Moyse, dicente:

Tolle Levitas pro primogenitis filiorum Israël, et pecora Levitarum pro pecoribus eorum, eruntque Levitæ mei. Ego sum Dominus.

Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.

In pretio autem ducentorum septuaginta trium, qui excedunt numerum Levitarum de primogenitis filiorum Israël,

But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites,

accipies quinque siclos per singula capita ad mensuram sanctuarii (siclus habet viginti obolos):

Thou shalt take five sicles for every bead, according to the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.

Accipe quinque siclo per singulo capites ad mensura de sanctuario (siclo habe viginti obolos):

dabisque pecuniam Aaron et filiis ejus pretium eorum qui supra sunt.

And thou shalt give the money to Aaron and his sons, the price of them that are above.

Et da pecunia Aarone et ad filios de illo pretio de illos qui supra es.

Tulit igitur Moyses pecuniam eorum, qui fuerant amplius, et quos redemerant a Levitis,

Moses therefore took the money of them that were above, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites,

Fer ergo Moyse pecunia de illos, qui es ample, et que redema ab Levitis,

pro primogenitis filiorum Israël, mille trecentorum sexaginta quinque siclorum juxta pondus sanctuarii:

For the firstborn of the children of Israel, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary,

Pro primogenitates de filios Israële, mile de trecentoro sexaginta quinque de siclo juxta pondere de sanctuario:

et dedit eam Aaron et filiis ejus juxta verbum quod præceperat sibi Dominus.

And gave it to Aaron and his sons according to the word that the Lord had commanded him.

Et Aarone et ad filios de illo da illa juxta verbo Domino praecipie ad se quod.
