Sit nomen Domini benedictum ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.
Es nomine de Domino benedicto ex hoc nunc et usque in saeculo.
A solis ortu usque ad occasum laudabile nomen Domini.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.
Ab sole ortu usque ad occasu laudabile nomine de Domino.
Excelsus super omnes gentes Dominus, et super cælos gloria ejus.
The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.
Excelso super omni gentes Domino, et super caelos gloria de illo.
Quis sicut Dominus Deus noster, qui in altis habitat,
Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:
Qui sicut Domino Deo nostro, qui in altissimo habita,
et humilia respicit in cælo et in terra?
and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?
Et humili respice in caelo et in terra?
Suscitans a terra inopem, et de stercore erigens pauperem:
Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:
Suscita ab terra inope, et de stercore erige paupere:
ut collocet eum cum principibus, cum principibus populi sui.
That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.
Ut colloca illo cum principes, cum principes de populo suo.
Qui habitare facit sterilem in domo, matrem filiorum lætantem.
Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.
Qui habita fac sterili in domo, matre de filios laetor.
